Creative Chess Camp

Campers will participate in a series of fun, competitive events that will require creativity as well as the development of chess skill.

National Master and CMSCA Instructor Shawn Pealer will conduct the camp. Guest speakers may be arranged.

During the week, campers will:

• -reinforce & develop their understanding of chess
• -participate in team building activities that will develop leadership & teamwork
• -be rewarded for their creativity in a series of small projects (eg designing a team banner) 
• -practice notation & use of chess clocks
• -learn how to self-direct their chess study through use of technology                                 FREE year long membership to www.ChessKid.com!
• -participate in an official, USCF rated tournament on the final day                               FREE year long membership to the United States Chess Federation!
